This part of ISO 1122 contains the international vocabulary of gears. It gives, for each of the geometrical terms, a standard international definition in such a way as to directly reflect the understood meaning.

This document includes two corrigenda. Corrigendum 1 was published in 1999, and Corrigendum 2 was published in 2009. They are included at the end of the document.
